Philly Burger on a Keto Bun with Zucchini Fries

Juicy ground beef, caramelized onions, melted queso, and crispy onions make this burger irresistible. Pair it with grilled zucchini fries, and you have a healthy, satisfying meal that's perfect for any day.πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ I found the idea from a video and added my own twist with queso cheese. It’s an easy way to enjoy the classic Philly flavors while staying on track.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef and optional veggies

  • Β½ pack au jus mix (for seasoning)

  • 1 onion, caramelized

  • 4 keto-friendly burger buns (spread melted buttered )

  • Skim mozzarella cheese (top each bun and toast )

  • 1 tbs. Nacho cheese thinned with skim milk. (I used water and Queso cheese, works too!)

  • Crispy onions (for crunch)

  • Zucchini (cut into fry shapes, lightly seasoned)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef: Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Mix in the au jus seasoning for extra flavor.

  2. Caramelize the Onions: Slice the onion and cook in a bit of butter until golden and soft.

  3. Toast the Buns: Spread butter ( I used I cant believe its butter spray) on the cut sides of the keto buns, sprinkle with mozzarella, and toast until golden.

  4. Assemble the Burgers:

    • Add a scoop of ground beef onto the bottom bun.

    • Top with caramelized onions, queso cheese, and crispy onions for crunch.

    • Add the top bun, or serve open-faced for a lighter option.

  5. Make Zucchini Fries: Toss zucchini slices with a bit of oil, salt, and pepper. Grill until tender and slightly charred.
